Chelsea’s passion for veterinary medicine began in California in 2011 when her 4 year old dachshund, Raja, suddenly became paraplegic and non-ambulatory due to a slipped disc. Through the process of both pharmaceutical and physical therapy, Raja was able to walk again! She instantly knew what she wanted to do: canine rehabilitation. Since then, she has earned a B.S. in Kinesiology with a focus on physical therapy from Sonoma State University. She has gained valuable experience working with VCA hospitals in general practice, emergency medicine, as well canine rehabilitation. She is currently working towards her C.V.T certification, which will enable her to practice rehabilitation after receiving a C.C.R.P (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) certification through the University of Tennessee. In her free time, Chelsea enjoys hiking, camping and exploring the beautiful state of Colorado.
