Dr. Carr enjoys presenting topics to children and adults about veterinary medicine and responsible pet ownership. She also enjoys mentoring students and new veterinary graduates.

Dr. Carr grew up on a farm in Missouri that seemed to end up with every pregnant stray dog or cat in the area. Her family adopted a runt-of- the- litter piglet (just like in Charlotte’s Web) named Rhoda Rooter and raised her as a house pet. She also had a three-legged black Lab who lost a leg in a farming accident. The pig thought she was a dog and the dog thought she was a pig. These experiences inspired a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Carr has a husband, Justin, and three children and resides in Glen Ellyn, IL. When not working, she can be found spectating at her children’s sporting events including wresting, soccer, baseball, basketball, and Judo She is also an avid photographer and loves to make photobooks. Dr. Carr enjoys traveling and experiencing local culture, going to amateur community plays, and baking. She collects shot glasses from around the country.
