Dr. Soriano (or Dr. Kate) grew up in the NW suburbs of Chicago, and lived in Urbana-Champaign for eight years while attending university. Every place she has settled she has held close to her heart, and already feels that Chicago will be no different. She earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences in 2014 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2023. In between degrees, she gained experience as a veterinary technician assistant at a specialty hospital, where she had solidified her dream to become a veterinarian. She enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine and is still figuring out her favorites in clinical practice! Most importantly, she strives to help people strengthen their bond with their animals. Speaking of which, can't forget to mention her love for her Cocker Spaniel, CeCe, tabby cat, Genie, and her ball python, Funiculus.
When she isn't at work, she loves to explore new places, domestic and abroad. She loves spending time with her friends and family, hiking, biking, thrifting, tennis, live music, and dreaming about working with goats.
