Dr. Alison Hamilton, graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she joined Bay Cities Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian. In 2004 Dr. Hamilton moved to Calgary, Alberta, where she practiced at Due South Animal Hospital for 3 years. While in Calgary, Alison was involved with the Calgary Academy of Veterinary Medicine and served as the Continuing Education Director for 2 years. In 2007, Dr. Hamilton returned to the Burlington area and to Bay Cities Animal Hospital. She is a member of the College of Veterinarians of Ontario, the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association and the Hamilton Academy of Veterinary Medicine. She has an interest in preventive medicine and nutrition.
Dr. Hamilton currently lives in Oakville with her husband BJ and their family of three young children and two West Highland White Terriers: Mango & Chilly. She is a member of P.E.O. – an organization to support women through education, and enjoys playing the violin, reading, pilates, camping, trying new recipes and spending time with her family.
