Josefina was born and raised in Palo Alto, California. She graduated from Palo Alto High School and went on to attend Foothill College where she pursued her dream of becoming a nurse. Josefina then found herself gravitating towards working in the Veterinary field which immediately caught her heart. She joined VCA in November 2011 where she began working as a Customer Service Representative. Shortly after starting, Josefina showed interest in working more hands-on with the animals so she quickly learned the roll of a Veterinary Assistant. Being a natural leader, Josefina soon became the Veterinary Assistant Supervisor.

Nothing brings more joy to Josefina than being able to connect with and assist clients during a time of excitement and sadness. When not working with animals, Josefina loves running, hiking with her family, gardening (when weather permits), and spending time with her family. Josefina currently has three cats Spot, Cat Williams and Thor as well as a very high energy dog named Smarty Jones who thinks he is the boss.
