Dr. Kaitlin P. Esselman, DVM, received her undergraduate degree at Wilmington College of Ohio with a major in Biological Sciences and minors in Chemistry and Equine Science. She attended veterinary school at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Working as a veterinarian melds all of Dr. Esselman's passions in life—love and compassion for living things, endless opportunity to learn and grow, the challenges of science, and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people and animals. Her long term goals are to further develop her skills within dentistry and emergency medicine.
Dr. Esselman refuels by spending time outdoors—especially by kayaking or hiking. Her furry family includes an energetic Australian Cattle dog named Cooper and two friendly felines, Earl Grey and Salyer. She also enjoys bouldering, traveling, and horseback riding. Dr. Esselman looks forward to continuing her career as a veterinarian at VCA, in order to work with clients and educate them about their pet's health, so they understand how to make their best friend as healthy and happy as possible.
