Dr. Shahzad Sharif (Shad) grew up on a farm with of domestic animals ranging from horses and donkeys to cattle and sheep but most importantly his first dog Tommy, a shepherd mix.

Dr. Sharif studied veterinary medicine from UVAS, Pakistan in 2001 and did his masters in veterinary parasitology. He worked for seven years in commercial poultry in Pakistan before migrating to the UK in 2008 where he worked in small animal practice and then in a mixed animal practice on beautiful west coast of Ireland.

Dr. Sharif moved to Canada in 2018 and has been working in small animal hospitals. Soft tissue surgery and critical care are his passion which developed while working in emergency hospitals in Ireland and Canada.

In his spare time he loves reading, traveling, spending time with his wife and four young children.
