"I grew up on a dairy farm and was always interested when the vet came to treat the farm animals. When I started in 1980, after graduating from vet school, all of us doctors treated large and small animals. Later I became interested in exotic animals. I have been working with birds since 1986! I work with Feathered Sanctuary, a bird rescue, and Operation Scarlet, a shar pei rescue. When I'm not at work I enjoy travelling and cooking."
