Dr. Rosalyn "Lynn" Levy, earned her bachelor's in science from the University of Illinois in 1981 and graduated in 1985 as a veterinarian. She then started working at Cairo Animal Hospital in 1988. Dr. Levy has been a big part of the Cairo community during its transition to VCA Cairo Animal Hospital and the hospital move to a newer facility almost a decade ago. What she loves most about veterinary medicine is not knowing what will walk through the door as she truly enjoys working with pets and their owners. She has a special interest in internal medicine and dentistry.
Dr. Levy's hobbies include baking, which she's won awards for with the Chicago Tribune Annual holiday cooking contest. To relax, she likes to read and swim. Dr. Levy's nature to nurture doesn't stop with veterinary medicine as she's always finding ways to give back to the community with volunteering to speak at schools about veterinary medicine and feeding the homeless for the holidays. She also gets "Dug", the mixed breed certified therapy dog, to volunteer through the Reading Buddies Program. Dr. Levy also loves to travel with her husband Alec, and adult kids Dori and Aaron to other countries like New Zealand.
