Kim grew up in Lancaster, PA, and started at VCA Cat Hospital of Philadelphia in the summer of 2010. Originally veterinary school bound, Kim graduated from Penn State with a BS in Animal Bioscience, and then from Drexel University with a degree in Laboratory Animal Science. Kim supports the cat hospital staff on the weekends and she works for the School of Medicine at Temple University during the week. In her free time, you can find Kim around the city playing ultimate frisbee, making cookies and candy or hanging out with her cats, Papoo and Taj.
When asked about why she does what she does, she replied: "I choose to be a vet assistant because I like to be a voice for the animals I care for, and their biggest advocate."
