A lifelong cat lover, Dr. Arman (or as we affectionately call her Dr. Ko) always dreamed of being a cat doctor. Originally from the east coast, she received a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Brunswick in 2003 and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College in May 2007.

Dr. Ko fell in love with Vancouver while attending the World Veterinary Congress in 2008. She moved here shortly after with her two handsome (and extremely high maintenance!) cats, Simon and Freddy.

Dr. Ko is a passionate believer in preventive medicine, nutrition, senior cat care and educating cat owners. She spent a year working with the North West Nuclear Medicine for Animal team where she enjoyed curing hyperthyroid cats with radioactive iodine and learning all about the fascinating field of nuclear medicine. Dr. Ko has worked exclusively with cats in her veterinary career and joined the wonderful team at Cats Only Veterinary Clinic in 2008.

Outside of clinical practice Dr. Ko dedicates time to writing for the West Coast Veterinarian magazine, and sits on the board of the CVMA-SBCV Chapter. In her spare time she can be found frequenting Vancouver’s many cafes, beaches, and hiking trails, and taking advantage of life on the West Coast. Dr. Ko also relishes spending time with her husband, family (furry and not), and friends.
