Heather grew up on the beautiful Sunshine Coast riding horses, painting, sailing, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. The pursuit of veterinary medicine brought her to many parts of the country including Northern BC, various areas of Saskatchewan, Winnipeg, and Yellowknife. She graduated from WCVM in 2007 and brings with her experience from 2 years of mixed animal practice in Saskatchewan and 7 years at an AAHA accredited practice on the Sunshine Coast. She also has an interesting background in research including work with wild ducks, dairy cattle, and many years of running projects with swine.

Heather shares her Island life with her wonderful partner Steve and their mixed breed puppy Rhubarb. She enjoys painting, spending time outdoors, eating out at good restaurants, hiking trails, and getting out on the water either fishing or paddleboarding. Heather also comes from a long line of gardeners and enjoys taking care of her home food and flower gardens.
