Dr. Becky Andrle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri in 2000. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 2005. Since then she has traveled the world courtesy of the United States Air Force, taking care of furry friends along the way. Dr. Andrle has worked as a veterinarian in Oklahoma, Arizona, Germany, Virginia, South Carolina, and is excited to be back in Virginia and to call VCA Commonwealth home.
From a young age Dr. Andrle set her sights on becoming a veterinarian. Originally from Iowa, she grew up on a small farm where she cared for barn cats, pigs, orphaned mice, birds and finally, after much begging, her first dog. Dr. Andrle’s special interests include ophthalmology, internal medicine along with pediatric and preventative medicine. She believes educating clients concerning their pet’s condition is vitally important to providing patients with the best care. She understands the strength of the human-animal bond and is dedicated to providing the best care to help keep your furry family member happy and healthy.
Dr. Andrle maintains professional membership with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). She shares her life with her fighter pilot husband (Craig), 2 daughters (Ava and Ella), 2 sons (Tate and Beau), an Australian Shepherd mix (Miley), and a rabbit (Clover).
“Life can get crazy and busy but the love given to you by your pet is constant. I love that I have been able to help families by helping their animals- from new puppies to end of life decisions. I am honored to be trusted by so many as ‘the other family doctor.”
