Dr. Bohanon is from Howell, MI, and started working for VCA as a veterinary assistant when she was just 15 years old. She has always had a brain for science and a huge heart for the human-animal bond. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is getting to know owners and their pets while helping them navigate their health decisions. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Eastern Michigan University and graduated from Michigan State University with her DVM degree in 2024. She raises neonate wildlife, puppies, kittens, etc., especially those with special needs. Dr. Bohanon has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, feline and exotic medicine, and dermatology.
Dr. Bohanon shares her home with her partner, two dogs, three cats, and a ball python (all acquired through working in the veterinary field). Her dream is to move to the Pacific Northwest and have a small hobby farm. In her free time, Dr. Bohanon enjoys roller skating, baking, fostering animals, and playing cozy video games.
