Dr. Ryan Heard was born in Wisconsin and grew up in upstate New York. Dr. Heard earned his Bachelor's in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from Penn State University. He then attended veterinary school in the British West Indies at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and relocated to Gainesville to complete his clinical year at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Heard is Fear Free certified, CPR certified, and Human-Animal Bond certified. He enjoys all aspects of patient and client care, but especially enjoys surgery. Dr. Heard shares his home with his cat, Luna, and enjoys hiking, watching Netflix, and spending time with loved ones in his spare time.
