Dr. Mark Helvie and his wife, Kimberly, moved to Dahlonega in 2000. Dr. Mark has been at VCA Dahlonega Animal Hospital since 2004 and is currently the Medical Director. Dr. Helvie also serves on the St. Luke's Parish Council and was on the Board for No One Alone Domestic Violence Shelter for 10 years. In his down time, you will usually find Dr. Helvie sitting at the kitchen table playing board games with his family and friends. Mark and Kim have five daughters and recently lost their daughter, Meng, at the age of 15 to cancer. In her memory, he supports the Georgia branch of Make A Wish Foundation. Also at home are the cats, Spot and Veto Burrito, and Tofu, the dog.
