Dr. James Duffy is a Connecticut and Fairfield County native. He is from the town of Fairfield and attended the University of Connecticut. There, he completed two Bachelor's degrees in pathobiology and molecular and cell biology. Dr Duffy went on to attend veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, graduating with the Class of 2020. After veterinary school, he completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA VREC in Norwalk and VCA Shoreline in Shelton, CT. Afterward, he spent a year at VREC as an emergency veterinarian.
Dr. Duffy finds veterinary medicine to be a greatly rewarding field. He enjoys exploring the client-pet connection and has a one health approach to veterinary medicine. He has two cats himself; Susan (a brown tabby) and Minnow (a Siamese mix). Outside of veterinary medicine, he also enjoys playing music, cooking, paddle boarding and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
