Dr. Samantha Higa joined the VCA Desert Inn team in 2024. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from California. Her favorite thing about her job is meeting all of the animals and their owners. She also loves learning about new species. She has a special interest in soft tissue surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Higa enjoys reading, hiking, snowboarding and eating. She has two dogs, Burt, a Jack Russell terrier/Chihuahua mix and Gus, a dachshund/Chihuahua mix.
