Mandy was born and raised on Long Island. She moved to Italy at 19 for 3 years and it was there she found her compassion and passion for animals by voluteering in Italian shelters and the military vet clinic. When she returned to the states it was her dream to work in the veterinary field. In 2003 she found her "home" at VCA Village Animal Hospital as a CSR where her talents and knowledge were nurtured and grown. She then joined VCA East Colonial as hospital manager in June 2011. In her off time she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and three boxers Recker, Rogue, and Raven.
" I do what I do first and foremost to help animals. It started when I went to an animal shelter to adopt a dog. I had a strong urge to do all I could do to make their lives better. As time has passed in my career in the animal medical field, I get great satisfaction from being able to help clients understand their pets needs, and to be able to offer clients the best possible care options for their four legged babies. I have learned that I can give pets a voice, even if it's just teaching the importance of heartworm prevention to their owners, I feel like I have made a difference in that pets life. "
