Dr. Jennifer Faul joined Fitzgerald Animal Hospital in 2007 as an Associate Veterinarian. Dr. Faul earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont, completing a senior research project on penguin behavior in captivity. She pursued graduate study in Nautical Archaeology before attending the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine (now the Cummings School), where she graduated with honors.
She has extensive experience in small animal medicine and surgery, and has a solid foundation in exotic animal care. While she is often called "the cat whisperer" in our practice, she has a special place in her heart for penguins. Dr. Faul worked with the penguin colony at the New England Aquarium and with sharks, turtles, manatee, and exotic bird species (including penguins) at Seaworld Orlando.
A lover of the outdoors, she spends much of her time sailing or hiking with her family. Dr. Faul is an avid runner and often participates in half-marathons to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network and other groups supporting childhood cancer patients.
