Dr. Nishimura was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. She attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa and graduated in 2006 with a BA in Zoology. She worked as a veterinary assistant for 3 years, before being accepted to Washington State University where she received her DVM in 2014. Prior to returning home to Hawaii, she worked for two years as an associate veterinarian in Puyallup, WA. Her interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She currently lives with one dog and more cats than she ought to have.
