A native of Oregon, Dr. Sheldahl grew up in the Portland area and attended college at the University of Oregon, where she majored in biology. She then stayed in Eugene to pursue a master's degree in animal behavior. After finishing her master's, she took some time to travel, and ultimately settled in New England for 12 years before moving back to Oregon!
Dr. Sheldahl graduated from Tufts Veterinary School in 2008 where she received the Jeff Proulx Memorial Award for outstanding achievement in veterinary studies. She completed her internship at the New England Animal Medical Center. She then spent two years as an emergency veterinarian at a high volume emergency and referral center before transitioning into general practice.
Lea's hobbies include hiking, baking, gardening, photography, and spending time with her mixed breed, Dottie.
