Staff Veterinarian
DVM, Texas A&M University
Dr. Megan Beauchamp grew up in a small suburb north of Austin and developed a passion for caring for animals at a young age. She participated in 4H activities and enjoyed pet sitting for family friends. In high school, Dr. Beauchamp realized she could combine her love of animals and aptitude for science into a career in veterinary medicine and started her journey in the field. She worked her way up in a local veterinary practice from office assistant to kennel technician to veterinary technician over her summer and winter breaks.
Dr. Beauchamp attended Texas A&M University, where she obtained her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences in 2010 and then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Following graduation, Dr. Beauchamp spent a year practicing in Washington State and then moved back to her home state of Texas to be closer to family. She practiced in a small animal practice north of Austin for several years before relocating to the San Antonio area and joining VCA Veterinary Hospital of Leon Springs. Dr. Beauchamp's veterinary passions include feline medicine, internal medicine cases, and client education.
When not at the hospital, Dr. Beauchamp spends her time with her husband and two children. They enjoy going to parks, swimming, and exploring their new hometown. They currently have one cat named Boomer, but look forward to adding more fur friends to their home in the future.
