Dr. Kathleen McBride grew up in Whittier, CA, before moving to Portland, Oregon, to attend Lewis & Clark College. She majored in biology, minored in chemistry and spent a semester abroad in Australia. Dr. McBride graduated with summa cum laude honors. After undergrad she worked as a molecular biology researcher for Oregon Health Sciences University studying the parasites that cause African Sleeping Sickness. From there, Dr. McBride attended Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated with magna cum laude honors. Following graduation, Dr. McBride completed a one-year internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal where she received additional training.
Dr. McBride has three cats.
