Dr. Wayland (he/him) began fostering a love of animals early on, raised with horses, farm animals, dogs, cats, and snakes, animals have been a lifelong passion for him. He started working in veterinary clinics at 16 years old, and worked as a veterinary technician through high school and college as he worked towards becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Wayland graduated UC San Diego with a degree in biochemistry in 2005 and went on to attend veterinary school at Kansas State University, graduating in 2010. Dr. Wayland has training and special interest in dentistry, surgery, and exotic animal medicine. Generally, if it fits in the office, he'll see it! Dr. Wayland has a small farm where he keeps one horse, two goats, 15 chickens, one duck, four cats, a dog, two bearded dragons, and one boa constrictor. In his off time he enjoys music, particularly playing classical guitar, enjoys taking long through hikes, and is an avid rower.
