Alyssa grew up just outside of Edmonton where she attended the University of Alberta and studied Animal Science. She then moved to Calgary where she obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Calgary. Her special interests within veterinary medicine include ultrasonography, nutrition and dermatology.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys traveling and outdoor activities. She also loves spending time with friends and family, including the newest addition to her family - an energetic, rebellious puppy named Scout.
