Vicki attended the Center for Emergency Medicine where she obtained her PA Paramedic License in 1994. She practiced human emergency medicine for 10 years until she made the switch to veterinary medicine in 2003. She has worked in a variety of veterinary settings including an emergency hospital in Alaska. Vicki recently returned to college and is working to complete her B.S in Wildlife Biology/Environmental Science and plans to return to Alaska to work with wildlife.
Vicki has been with VCA Met Vet since March 2012. She loves caring for hospitalized patients overnight and makes sure their hospital stay is as comfortable as possible.
She has three dogs, Justice, Micha and Denali, and one cat Nebula. She enjoys traveling, and outdoor activities with her pack.
Vicki's dog Denali is a certified therapy dog and started his own Tail Wagging Tutor program at a local elementary school. Students that have difficulty reading and are embarrassed to read out loud meet with Denali for an hour once a week and practice reading to his nonjudgmental ear!
