Dr. Lisa Lomond was raised in Winter Park Ski area where snow tires are put to the ultimate test. While growing up, she was determined to learn how to help injured animals that she would see in the Colorado mountains. Dr. Lomond earned her undergraduate degree in Biology at the Colorado College and then attended veterinary school at Colorado State University. Upon graduating in 1986, tired of scraping ice from her windshield, Dr. Lomond moved to southern California and practiced in Newport Beach for 2 years. In January of 1988, she heard of an opening at a small veterinary practice in West Hollywood and she moved to Los Angeles to pursue the opportunity. After 10 years in practice, Dr. Lomond expanded into offering alternative holistic medicine and became a certified veterinary acupuncturist in 1995. She is also certified in Chinese Herbal Formulas and finds that Eastern and Western medicine complement each other. Dr. Lomond feels lucky that she loves her career and finds it gratifying to have the opportunity to help dogs and cats heal. Dr. Lomond has 2 wonderful daughters and lives happily in the Hollywood Hills.
