Dr. Alice Gao grew up in North York and is thrilled to be returning home to join the Mt. Pleasant-Davisville team. After receiving her degree in Anatomy & Cell Biology at McGill University, she went on to graduate with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College. She has completed a surgical externship in North Carolina and is Fear-Free certified.

Her special interests include preventative medicine, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery, and she is passionate about the role pets have as members of the family. When she's not at the clinic, she can be found planning her next trip, discovering new coffee, or spending time with her Beagle mix, Bella, and retired blood-donor cat, Kirk.
