I was raised in Southern California where my mom shared my love of animals. We had a menagerie of pets including a dog, cats, birds, reptiles, and frogs. My first grown up job was at a specialty referral veterinary hospital. I then moved up to the redwoods to attend Humboldt State University, where my interest in animals expanded to include wildlife. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Biology I worked on various wildlife biology projects in California, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico for 5 years.
Seeking more stability then wildlife biology could provide, I returned to veterinary medicine and earned my Veterinary Technician license. My professional interests include emergency and critical care, end of life care, and advancing the veterinary technician profession.
Outside of work I enjoy cooking, food preservation, volunteering, anything outdoors, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I share my home with my long time boyfriend and well-traveled cats, Belly Acres and Manja. Originally from Hawaii, Belly and Manja have made me promise them Spokane will be their forever home.
