Dr Corine Léger graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2012 with a General Sciences Bachelors degree with Minors in Biology, which led her to pursue her dream career in veterinary medicine. She graduated in 2018 from the University of Montreal (Saint-Hyacinthe) with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, and started practicing at the VCA Ottawa Veterinary Hospital right after graduation.
In her spare time, she loves cuddling with her 2 dogs, Jazz and Dexter, and 3 cats, Nova, Jackson and Crabe, who all have their own individual special personalities and make all her days funnier and brighter.

Traveling and spending time with her husband and family are among her most treasured memories and activities.

Dr Léger has a special interest in emergency medicine, geriatric patient care and dermatology. She also has a special place in her heart for misunderstood breeds, relinquished pets and those that need a voice. She was the coordinator at her school’s animal shelter for an entire year and volunteered many hours of her time and energy at the shelter and fostered numerous pets in her own home. She always aimed to find the best-suited families for all those lost souls, and always found true happiness in receiving positive updates from loving adoptive families.
