Dr. Karthiga Kartheepan is originally from India, where she received her BVsc in 1997. In 1999, she moved to the Bay Area to join her husband. In 2003, she received her DVM from Purdue University.

In addition to working with pets in the Bay Area, Dr. Kartheepan has also worked in Chicago and San Diego. Before joining VCA in 2017, she spent a few years managing her own practice in India. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as the California Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Kartheepan loves working as a veterinarian because it allows her to meet different people and their wonderful pets every day! She most enjoys educating clients about preventative dental care.

Outside of work, Dr. Kartheepan enjoys group workouts, yoga, and dancing.
