Staff Veterinarian
DVM, Texas A&M University
Dr. Rabon was raised in Novice, Texas where he grew up breaking and training horses for ranch work, rodeo, racing and showing at the AQHA level. Dr. Rabon also competitively showed horses in the AQHA and 4-H. He was active in sports in high school playing football, basketball and track, and was an active member of the FFA. After graduating high school, he attended Angelo State University, then moved on to Texas A&M University where he graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in May 1998. He was married to his wife Kim in his third year of vet school.
Following graduation, he and Kim moved to Winters, Texas, for two and a half years where he began work as a mixed-animal practitioner, then on to Fredericksburg, Texas, where he also worked in a mixed-animal practice for eleven years. Fredericksburg is still where the Rabons call home.
When Dr. Rabon is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with Kim and their two sons, Dalton and Dillon. Dalton is currently attending college where he is seeking a degree in Nursing. In between semesters you can find Dalton dedicating his time to mission trips in third world countries helping to build hospitals and sharing his faith. Dillon is in high school and stays busy year round with basketball, both at his high school and on a very competitive select team. Both boys are Dr. Rabon's pride and joy (just ask, he will show you pictures for hours), excelling in school and very community-minded. The Rabons also have three 4-legged kiddos named Jango, a full blood Catahoula; Dusty, a lab cross; and Hullabaloo, a full blood Border Collie. The Rabons like to travel, cook outdoors, do anything water-related, and when able, go to the family ranch in Novice. And, of course, they can be heard all over the neighborhood cheering for their Aggies. Gig 'Em!!!
