Dr. Jennie Shih studied biology at California State University, Fullerton for her undergraduate degree, then got a Master of Public Health degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She worked for a couple years in the public health field before going back to school to become a veterinarian. She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in Southern California in 2011. Then she moved to Washington state to begin practicing and marry her techie fiancée. Dr. Jennie now resides in Bellevue and has two little boys and two pets at home. Casper is her handsome Lynx Point Siamese kitty and Ritz is an excitable chocolate Labrador retriever.

Dr. Jennie joined the VCA Redwood team in fall 2021. She loves dermatology, dentistry, and preventative medicine. In her free time, she enjoys exploring all of the area parks with her kids, skiing, and mountain biking.
