Raised in the Willamette Valley, Kyle has over 30 years of management experience in the veterinary industry. He has served as the executive director for an association of equine practitioners, has contributed to several national veterinary management magazines, and has his own consulting business teaching veterinary dental radiology and helping others improve their management skills. In early 2023 he wrapped up 10 years as a city councilor and six years as mayor in his hometown of Silverton.

Originally hired as the hospital manager of VCA Salem Animal Hospital, Kyle is currently a hospital administrator providing support to the four VCA Hospitals in Salem and Keizer, and is the acting hospital manager at VCA River Road Animal Clinic.

He and his wife, Julie, have raised two adult children and are proud grandparents to an 11 and 9 year old. They currently share their household with a challenging Jack Russell terrier named Pyper.
