Kirsten Frayne
Veterinarian BSc, DVM
Dr. Kirsten Frayne joined the team at Ross Bay Animal Hospital in August of 2020 after moving back to Victoria from Alberta. On her path to becoming a veterinarian she completed a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria and received her DVM from the University of Calgary. She is excited to return the beautiful west coast again, and to share her passion for preventative medicine and client education with Fairfield locals! She also has a particular interest in dentistry, surgery as well as behavior consults. This has led to an advanced certification as a Fear Free Level 3 Certified Professional, with which she’s committed to preventing and alleviating fear, anxiety, and stress in pets – particularly when it comes to vet clinic visits!

Dr. Frayne has also always had a passion for animal welfare and wildlife conservation, which has led to many past experiences in areas such as wildlife rehabilitation, zoo-keeping, and laboratory animal care. In her spare time, Dr. Frayne enjoys bouldering, hiking, photography, and exploring the island with her awesome dog Mira.
