Dr. Fleming was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and decided at the age of eight that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She attended the Ontario Veterinary College where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Following graduation, she completed a one-year internship in South Florida. Jane then returned to Toronto to practice small animal medicine at a hospital downtown.

Her professional interests include internal medicine (particularly endocrine disorders), anaesthesia and pain management. She also spent several years mentoring veterinary students at the Ontario Veterinary College.

Dr. Fleming is married to Brad has two beautiful boys and they are all diehard Toronto Maple Leaf fans. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys tennis, reading, running, skiing, theatre, and traveling (she has traveled to Mexico, New York, Calgary, Italy, Turkey and Panama).
