Born and raised right here on Long Island, Dr. Muscarello's lifelong passion has been caring for animals. After completing her bachelor's in Animal Sciences at the University of Kentucky, she was accepted to Long Island University's College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Muscarello came to Southgate Animal Hospital in June 2022 as a veterinary student. Her experience mentoring with Dr. Mauro, working with our team and getting to know our clients inspired her to join us upon completion of her medical degree and licensure.
As a DVM, Dr. Muscarello believes that building relationships with clients begins through fostering a partnership. "Providing pet owners with the information, resources and tools they need to help their pets live long and healthy lives is the reason I became a veterinarian." While she embraces pets of all ages, Dr. Muscarello feels a deep sense of connection to pets as they enter the later stages of life.
Dr. Muscarello holds particular interest animal acupuncture. Her future plans include the study of how this technique can enrich and enhance the lives of animals.
In her free time Dr Muscarello enjoys riding her horse, Lilly, and spending time with her fiancé as well as her fun loving pittie named Bo. She also values making memories with family and friends, some of her fondest being time spent in Disney.
