Dr. Hufford always had a lot of pets growing up. His interest in science and medicine assured his future as a veterinarian. Dr. Hufford graduated from the University of California Davis Veterinary School in 1970, with a special interest in surgery. He did an internship at the University of Minnesota in 1971 and a residency in surgery at Kansas State University from 1973 to 1975.

Dr. Hufford owned a 5-doctor practice in St. Paul, Minnesota, for 24 years before moving to Tucson. He eventually settled in Prescott in 2005. In his off time he enjoys golfing and gardening, when the weather turns nice for the season, and trying out different restaurants with his wife.

Never in the 50+ years of practicing in this field has Dr. Hufford stopped enjoying what he does. 

His favorite part is still meeting new people and their four-legged furry members of their family!
