Dr. Greg Ruus was born and raised in Calgary. Greg's passion for animals and dream of becoming a veterinarian started young. Once in high school he began to appreciate his love for biology and fascination for how the body works. This, combined with his love for animals, led to him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

He studied Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia before getting accepted to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon where he completed his lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.

After graduating he moved back to Calgary to be close to family. He has a keen interest in emergency medicine, ophthalmology, and anesthesia.

Greg and his partner puppy raise service dogs for The Dogs With Wings Society. In his spare time you can find Greg at the curling rink, hiking, skiing, or spending time with close friends and family.
