Raquel is a born and raised Vancouver resident excited to be stepping into the hospital manager position at Vancouver Animal Wellness. From a young age, Raquel has always adored animals and decided early on to make sure they were a standard part of her career path wherever she went. She graduated technician school in Sydney, Australia and was happily helping animals on the job immediately after. With over 7 years in the veterinary industry (and plenty more to come), Raquel has had experience working in every position from technician to client care specialist in a wide medicinal range of hospitals around the globe. She returned home to Vancouver in 2017 and has continued to hone her skill set since in emergency and primary care settings. Raquel likes to spend her free time reading a good book, usually with her big dog Monty curled up at her feet.
