Prior to joining our staff in 2001, Lorie worked as a veterinary assistant for another local animal hospital. Now with over 25 years of experience in veterinary health care, Lorie has mastered her technical skills, especially in the area of laboratory procedures.

Reading, hiking with her dogs and studying wolf and canine behavior are just a few of the things Lorie enjoys in her free time. She has had a menagerie of pets throughout her life--sheep included!--and her favorite dog breed is the Belgian Sheepdog. Several years ago, she raised a young possum, rehabbed him from a tail injury and released him back into the wild.

Of her work with animals, Lorie says: "I have had dogs and cats all my life and I grew up loving all their different personalities. I couldn't imagine doing anything else."
