Dr. Danks graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, Knoxville, in 1993. She worked in 12 different small animal clinics, in Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, before joining Amherst in 2006.
Her professional interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and exotics.
Dr. Danks enjoys spending time with her husband, two teenagers, bird dog, Ellie, and her cat named Linen. She is a BC school board member, and volunteers for the Montana Folk Fest. She and her family are active in Boy Scouts of America.
In her spare time, you will find her reading, walking her dog, swimming, bicycling, or cross country skiing. She is an accomplished artist, and you will find her watercolors displayed around uptown Butte in the summer.
Fun Facts: 1) Dr. Danks has held veterinary licenses in 7 states. 2) She has had one patient older than herself: a 65-year-old Quaker parrot.
