Dr. Joshua Laske, a Michigan native, earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. During that time, he worked in a veterinary ophthalmology laboratory studying achromatopsia, a genetic disorder in which dogs are born without cones in their retinas.
Throughout veterinary school he was involved in multiple student organizations including their student chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association and was president of their chapter of Omega Tau Sigma, a veterinary, service-based, fraternity. After graduation, Dr. Laske moved to Los Angeles where he completed a rotating internship at VCA Animal Specialty and Emergency Center. During his internship, he affirmed his passion for emergency and critical care medicine and was excited to stay in the Los Angeles area to join the emergency and critical care team at VCA Animal Specialty Group.
Dr. Laske has a special interest in immune mediated emergencies, toxins, and feline medicine. He currently resides in West Hollywood with his two favorite queens (female cats), Sephora and Eva Purron.
