Welcome to VCA Atwood Animal Hospital! We have been serving the Rhode Island communities of Providence, Cranston and Warwick for over 20 years.
Our animal hospital provides top quality veterinary services, including preventative care like wellness exams, vaccines, diagnostic services, spays, neuters, dental procedures, and senior pet preventative services such as blood pressure and X-ray. Our goal has always been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care. The VCA Atwood team displays an unrivaled commitment to our clients through continuing education, technological advances in veterinary medicine, service, and most importantly, administering compassionate care to all pets entrusted to us.
There are numerous local medical issues that can impact your pet's health, and that require your attention over the entire year. For example, there's heartworm, which can affect both cats and dogs. Since it's transmitted by mosquitoes, which thrive in our region, it's a serious cause for concern. But since the winter temperatures do not get cold enough here to kill mosquito eggs, it's a year-round risk. Likewise for the potential for flea and tick infestation, or intestinal parasites, each of which poses a problem in any season. And finally, contrary to what you'd expect, allergies are a year-round issue. Many pets suffer from skin and ear allergies, the signs of which include scratching, redness in the ears, and "scaly" skin.
We harness the scale and strength of our global network while acknowledging each individual's contribution. We work locally to improve the lives of all who interact with our brand.
