Dr. Meenan grew up in the Utica area and attended Thomas R. Proctor High School. She started her veterinary career in 2000, right here at Burrstone, serving as a kennel worker/ veterinary assistant! This solidified her passion for veterinary medicine. She went on to attend Canisius College in Buffalo, where she studied Biology, Psychology, and Animal Behavior, and earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 2010. Besides cats and dogs, Dr. Meenan enjoys treating a variety of pocket pets, which includes bunnies, guinea pigs, reptiles, and birds. Outside of work, Dr. Meenan loves spending time outdoors with her family. She also enjoys reading, gardening, and arts and crafts with her daughters. She is very proud of her Polish heritage, and engages in many of the cultural events here in Utica.
