Dr. Rickford moved to Colorado when she was ten years old and gave up ballet lessons for horses. She studied microbiology at Colorado State University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in May 1996. After graduation, she started her career at a small animal practice in Denver and then joined Centennial Valley Animal Hospital in July 1997.
She thinks the best part of veterinary medicine is the variety of animals that come to the hospital everyday. Her professional interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, critical care, pain management and avian/exotic medicine.
She spends her free time at home with her husband, three daughters, three dogs, three cats, one bird and one bearded dragon. She enjoys gardening, camping, hiking and scrapbooking.
