Dr. Katherine Olson is a California native who grew up in the foothills of Placerville. She grew up on a small family farm and started working as a veterinary technician in Fair Oaks while attending college. Because of her love for the outdoors, she obtained an AS degree in Forestry at American River College, followed by a BS in Biology at Sacramento State. She obtained a position working in a prenatal lab before finishing her professional education through Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in Saint Christopher and clinical training at Oregon State University Veterinary School.
Dr. Katherine Olson has a strong focus on oral care and diseases, along with heart health. Her goal is to keep your pet happy, pain free and healthy so that you can enjoy your pet as long as possible.
When not at work, Dr. Olson can be seen in our community with her husband, two kids, two dogs and possibly one of her leash-trained cats. She is an avid biker (mountain and road), hiker, kayaker and general outdoor enthusiast. Dr. Olson's most current passion is orienteering races.
