Radiology (X-Ray) is a frequently used diagnostic imaging tool which provides our veterinarians with a view of your pet’s internal body systems and the skeletal system. Our hospital is proud to offer state-of-the-art digital radiology services. Using digital radiography, your pet’s veterinarian can view images of your pet’s body and internal organs to assist in determining if your pet’s systems are normal, and the diagnosis and re-evaluation of medical conditions or trauma.
There are many advantages to digital radiology. Digital radiology allows us to take fewer images which limits radiation exposure for the safety of your pet and our medical staff. We no longer need chemicals to process the traditional film. Digital radiographs can be enhanced and magnified for optimal visualization. Digital copies of your pet’s radiographs can be sent home with you or be sent directly to local radiology specialists for consultations.
