Alex's experience in the veterinary world began when they started volunteering at a vet clinic in high school and promptly fell in love with the animal healthcare profession. They spent two years at the University of Guelph in the Bachelor of Science program, gaining more of a background in biological sciences and farm animal agriculture, before transferring to the Veterinary Technology program at Ridgetown College. They combined the education gained in the Vet Tech program with on-the-job working experience, and graduated from Ridgetown in fall of 2020. Alex is thrilled to be part of the Kortright team, providing top-quality care to our furry patients, and nurturing the bond between pet parents and their fur families.

When not hard at work helping pets feel better, Alex can be found horseback riding, writing fantasy novels, or snuggling with their affectionate tabby cat Zoë.
